If you’re not into The Bachelor, you can go ahead and stop reading right now…or bear with one last post about the finale. If you haven’t watched it yet, stop right now. This WILL be a spoiler. 🙂
Brad has two completely differently women left, with two completely different futures.
I’ll say right now that I think he’s going to pick Emily. If he doesn’t, I will be SHOCKED and will NOT be a happy camper.
Whatever I might have thought about Brad~ that he’s a dud, boring, unemotional, etc., all went out the door when I saw how he reacted to seeing his family. I think all the guy’s emotions came out in that one single second. He couldn’t contain the tears, couldn’t get a grip…and it was precious. I really hope this guy has found his bride. (I rarely fully dare hope for that on this show.)
The show is going to keep me guessing throughout, I’m sure…
It’s fun to see twins, isn’t it. Speaking of twins, I know a ton of sets here in Minnesota. Kinda weird, right?
It’s strange, I have liked Chantal from the first night, but feel like the more we see of her, the younger and more immature she seems. She’s a sweet girl and is crazy about Brad. The family really likes her. Brad always talks about how he’s himself with her.
The things he’s saying about Chantal make me concerned. Maybe he IS going to going to pick her…grr…hate how they say such strong statements to confuse us.
He seems nervous at the get-go with Emily meeting the family. But see how he gushes and gets excited like a kid when he sees Emily? He’s crazy about her…is she crazy about him?
She has a tough load of questions to answer about her daughter and moving to Austin and all that…she seems to handle it well and the family warms up to her after they get to know her more.
Yep, his twin notices how Brad lights up~ not only about Emily, but about Emily’s daughter…
Emily won over Brad’s mama when she said that Brad had been her angel…she wept and not only wants her son to be happy, but wants Emily to be happy. It was a touching moment.
The family raves over Emily. They LOVE her and her poise and…well, everything about her. Brad’s mother picks Emily~ she talks about how animated she was with Chantal, but with Emily, she felt like she was looking at the woman he was going to marry. She took their conversation more seriously, for sure.
Why does Brad want Chantal to show him that she’s the one? That’s what I really liked about Ali~ she knew without a doubt at this point. I think Brad does, too, he’s just being doubly, tripley, quadrupley sure.
Swimming with sharks? Are you kidding me? Why? What kind of dates are these??? Craziness.
Torture the girl and then dump her. Way to go, Brad.
Zip up your wetsuit, girl.
What does hanging in a cage while a huge shark swims by you prove exactly?
“What a perfect date, what a perfect girl, what a perfect experience.”
Easy there, Romeo.
Makes me want to have a whole bag of potato chips. This is stressing me out, y’all.
He calls her “Babe”…that concerns me a bit. He reads her letter, though, and it seems to sober him up. I think he’s attracted to her, but also sees her as more of a buddy. Hearing her say how much she loves him seems to shake him up.
A million chips later…doggone it.
Brad and Emily are excited to see each other. Brad seems so tender and more affectionate with Emily. He gets nervous when Emily begins talking about what marrying someone with a child really means…the mood gets somber. But later, he lays it out for her, how ready he is to be her daughter’s father…if she’ll have him. She grills him a little, asking him what that means to him.
He gets a little fired up.
He starts sweating…and sweating.
He can’t breathe.
He ends up asking her if she’s ready to let him into her life.
Emily thinks she’s messed everything up.
He thinks she slapped him in the face. He’s defeated. It makes him question everything, which is what I think Emily wanted…she wants him to have thoroughly thought it through…
If they do end up together, I’m sure they’ll have a big adjustment. He seems up for the challenge. We shall see…
Beautiful ring…wow.
Emily and Chantal have never talked about each other, at least not that it’s shown…I really like that about both of them.
Aw, Chantal is going to get her heart broken. I do hate this part of the show. It does seem like she would bounce back faster than Emily. I hope that’s true and I hope she finds a wonderful man.
Yes, she’s the first one out of the limo. Aw. I feel so bad for her. It’s awful. Brad’s teary before they even speak and he tells all of the things that he appreciates about her. But he doesn’t love her. She didn’t see it coming.
Oh man, it’s so sad.
Pitiful. Heartbreaking.
And then Emily rides up…and he’s giddy at the thought of stammering out how much he loves her.
I really do want these two to make it. I want them to beat the Bachelor breakup odds. I really do.
Ok, I teared up. Sweet, sweet proposal…hearts and butterflies…
Wait a second~ he didn’t ask if she’d accept the rose! Haha…that’s always such an awkward moment.
AFTER THE FINAL ROSE…
Chantal seems sad still, but I’m thinking she could also easily be the next Bachelorette, too…so…
But then when Brad comes out and she wants to know when he knew…he admits that he knew early on that he loved Emily. She feels like he is discounting what he felt for her and that upsets her, understandably so…but it’s The Bachelor. Surely she knew the risks…
It turns out Chantal has moved on with a relationship already, though, so…I’m thinking she’s not too hung up on Brad. Ha!
When Brad talks about Emily, it comes out that they’ve had a roller coaster thing going already since the show ended. “It hasn’t been all roses.” Emily says they need to figure things out first, that they’re engaged, but not ready yet to get married.
The audience gasps. 🙂
Emily is so funny talking about watching the show and how much trouble Brad was in on Monday nights after the show…and HILARIOUS talking about how she didn’t seem like any fun and if she’d had dates where they were swimming with sharks and going on a zipline, she would have seemed fun too!
She’s very honest about how she’s felt watching the show. It’s the first time I’ve heard them confess this~ how hard it is to watch and how it feels to not feel special after seeing how they are with all the other girls/guys…
Chris is very blunt and asks if Emily really sees herself marrying Brad. She says she does. Looks like they’ve got some things to work out…feels quite tentative! But they do seem to love each other. Let’s hope it works out.
The couples who have made it on The Bachelor/Bachelor come on and give them advice. There are only three couples who are still together. Their perspective is really interesting and helpful.
Emily seems hesitant. They both seem hopeful.
Come on, guys, you can do it.
Chris says it…that everybody really wishes they do well. There is something about the two of them that has everyone rooting for them to make it. XOXO
What do you think? Will they make it?
