It’s been a day of eating. And eating. And eating some more.
It all started with Continental Breakfast at The Country Inn & Suites. They didn’t just have muffins, people. They had waffle mix that you could pour on the industrial-sized griddle. Two minutes and WAFFLES. And I had me some, oh yes, I did. Yum.
Then we went to lunch with the pastor who organized the event last night…a fabulous Mexican restaurant. We had a feast. Cheese dip…we just kept getting refills of cheese dip. Chips and salsa, lots of baskets. Would you like guacamole? Sure! OK, here you go. I was full before my shrimp enchiladas came, but they were so delicious that I ate every bite. The rice and beans were also extra special.
We made the drive home. Hmm, still feeling full and supper with the church staff is in an hour.
I’m feeling some slight discomfort.
Goodness, I don’t really want to even think about food.
But we’re going to this really good sushi/hibachi place. Oh, that Teriyaki Beef skewer sounds good…and the Philadelphia Roll, and the Seafood Fried Rice. And the #9 and chicken curry…well, that didn’t really sound very good, but I tried it and it wasn’t TOO bad…and the Rainbow Roll. And maybe I will have some of that green tea ice cream.
On facebook, I posted “Mexican and Sushi” and got some funny comments.
According to my friends, we apparently have some good names for this combo:
Mushi
Or Sushexican for the dyslexic…
I also think Mexsus works.
Pepto-Bismol would probably work as well.
